Sunday, June 8, was an exciting day at St. Paul 's Presbyterian Church in Kemptville, when they held a dedication service for the Bibles for CHEO Mission Project, during their regular Worship Service.
When the Mission Committee of St. Paul's discovered there were no Children's Bibles available to the young patients at CHEO, they quickly took up the challenge to provide Bibles for all age groups. At the close of the project, enough money had been collected to purchase 75 Children's Bibles.
The Committee chose 10 different selections of Bibles, which would tell the Word of God through pictures as well as words, for all age groups and reading levels. They believed the youngest children would enjoy The Pajama Bible, while the teenagers would appreciate the format of The Picture Bible. Their Prayer is that the Bibles offer hope, joy, encouragement, peace and love in the hearts of the Children and those who are caring for them.
The Spiritual Advisor of CHEO, Gerardo Guintanar was welcomed at the Dedication Service, and accepted the Donation of Children's Bibles on behalf of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario .
