Church School Every Sunday at 10:45 a.m.

We as a church are committed to teaching our children about Jesus Christ so
that they can develop a personal relationship with Him and so that they
can go out and share the love of Christ with others.

This is what we do, (in a nutshell)...
Children attend the beginning of the Church Service with their families. After singing the children's hymn and hearing the children's story from our pastor, they process to their classes in the Church Hall or downstairs to the Guild Hall. Church School lessons are based on Scripture stories, Jesus' life and how can we relate these stories to our daily life. As a part of their lesson, the children usually make a craft or play a game which helps them think about the Scripture lesson of that day.

Mission Study:
A six week Mission Study, prepared by the Presbyterian Church, is part of the curriculum for both classes. This year, the Study is about the concerns of refugees and it will help the students better understand the situation of these newcomers and also, what each student can do to help refugees adjust to life in their new country. What the Bible tells us we should do, will also be explored.

Mission Luncheon:
At end of this Study, the children will organize and serve a Mission Luncheon to the whole congregation and the money raised will support a project that will help refugees in our country.

Church School Activities and Projects:
•  The Church School organized the Thanksgiving Food Collection of "School Lunch" items which were distributed by the local Salvation Army Food Bank.

•  A "Fun Day" at a local orchard, which included the picking of several bushels of apples, which were later purchased by members of the congregation, was held in October.

•  Several children will help serve at the Christmas Bazaar Luncheon on November 14.

•  Gingerbread House decorating will take place following the Family Christmas Dinner on December 5.

•  The Church School will conduct the Church Service on Sunday, December 13. Practice for this is now underway.

•  A congregational Luncheon, gift exchange for the children, and visit from a very special quest, will follow the December 13 th service.

We always have a special area for babies downstairs with rugs, cushions and baby toys. Parents are welcome to stay with their children if they wish.

Our children and their teachers are a very special part of Church life here at St. Paul 's. New and visiting children are always welcome to join in the fun come and see what we do!
